Well,
It's official Dragon79 finally made it up to the Bay Area and spent X-mas with my wife and I.
He brought Grandma and his girlfriend Sandra aka nanoangel and of course his new puppy Eddie which had fun with our puppy Paris. These are just a few of our pics.

Looks,
Like you have researched your options very well. I am certain your tank is going to blossom.
I also had to take down several tanks because it was just too much work with three.
So I'm working on a RedSea Pico and my 72 reef tank..
Mike
Andre,
Looks awesome and clean with where you placed the clip on fan. How much evaporation are you getting?
Also your QT looks great, how long will you place them in there before transfer into the main tank? Will you dose with copper?
Mike
My bro came up to the SF Bay area and he bought himself a nice colony of tiger eye polyps and two halloween hermit crabs from Atlantis Aquarium in Fremont Ca.
I then drove home with him and I plan to fly back tommorrow night, but not after I go to Tongs with him, he's going to let me get a...
A chiwahwha that is laid back, I don't believe it... Those little guys are tough and break all rules...
I must admit though, I like that last picture head to head...
Mike
Dragons,
That's a deflector, it takes the GPH of the return pump and distributes it throughout the tank in a circular rotation.
If you saw it in person you would see it turning around like a clock arm. It's made by Hydor and it's limited to a certain GPH.
I wanted one but my return...
Very true about the copper safe medication in a large tank. My experience is if you can catch ich on first time appearance you have a better chance of kicking it if you attack it early.
In the past I didn't know that there was reef safe meds to help ich infested reefs and I watched in agony...
Wow,
Thanks for sharing that Andre, did you treat your tank with any types of reef safe medication? Or was this a FOWLR and you did copper treatments?
Mike
Sadie,
Would you trust this little fur ball behind the wheel? Yes my car has air bags but I wouldn't get in with him behind the wheel, his feet don't reach the pedal, look at how short they are,,,, hehehe
Mike G
Andre,
No I don't have a QT tank and really believe I should. QT is so important when introducing fish into a large reef for several reasons but the main one being Ich.
From experience I will tell you what I went through for not having a QT tank. As you know I have 20 fish in my reef, 8...
Sadie,
The monti was driven down 6 hours from SF bay area to Orange County Anaheim and is now in Dragons prize 6 gallon tank...
You will have to ask him to give us a picture of it's growth; he had told me that it's really doing well with polyp extensions...

Hey Reefers,
I finally decided to start up Dragon's old RedSea pico. He gave it to me while I was visiting during thanksgiving break. I have about 4 lbs of live sand and 3.5 lbs of live rock.
The filtration is a simple HOB filter that is really quiet, the Whisper 10. Then I'm running...
Mike,
Welcome to nanotank. My quick answer to your clam in a nano is yes it can be done. You are talking about a modded nano cube correct?
I have experience and took the respondsibility on a crocea clam in my modded 12 gallon cube.
I kept it alive for almost 1 year before I upgraded...
EdGray,
I'm so jealous of your tank, I'm turning green with envy. I love your ricordias and your mushrooms. It appears you have a bunch of Yumas in there as well. I think your tank has the perfect balance of mushrooms and softies.
You even did a great job on not purchasing large LPS...
