    Reefman23's 16g Bowfront...

Reefman, You document everything really well, and I think you will not have flatworms after this assault on them, good job. I remember I had them all over my 12 gallon cube when it was mature; we are talking about my SPS cube. But as quickly as they came they disappeared, I never did...

    Feeder

I purchased the, Nutrafin ProFeed Automatic Feeder and had good results during my thanksgiving break. I mixed seeking pellets with flake food and it dispensed it accordingly. You just need to make sure you trial run it several times before you walk away. Mike

    PLEASE tell me im crazy....

I own a 72 gallon reef tank; with about 90 lbs of live rock and 3-4 inch bed of live sand all over my tank, yet I don't have a mandarin for the sole reason that my sixline wrasse would starve him. My refugium is also increasing my pod population but it's not enough against the my sixline...

    PhytoMax

I have PhytoMax and ZooMax from kent marine. I alternate between each every week. But I up the dosage, using like 4 to 5 drops in a 8 oz cup of ro/do water. I then pour that into my 72 gallon and that's it. The stuff really work well and I feed during the night when the fish are sleeping...

    Read me!!! Important!!! Read me!!!

Wow, I hope DJCONN doesn't get into a fight with our leading authority on reef tanks Mr. Incysor himself; that would be a great loss for us; wow just imagining it makes me quiver. We are so lucky to have both of them leading our reefers over many hurdles every day. Mike G

A question reguarding a brown algae problem!

Sadie, They sell that stuff at petco and other larger chains, but man it's very expensive, too expensive for larger reefs. If I had nothing more than just a 12 gallon or smaller I would get the stuff, it looks pretty good. But for my large tank, no way, I would be out too much cash and...

A question reguarding a brown algae problem!

Roonmac, Is your water Catalina or where is the source? For us out here in California, Catalina is a natural source of sea water that we get. I don't purchase pre-mixed salts.... Mike p.s I imagine in Florida it has to be natural....

    New frags...

Nice frags, I'm always on the hunt for frags; the xenias can take off in a nano but they don't seem to spread in my large tank. I love the candy canes and can only say they are super hardy guys. I've never purchased anything from a fellow reefer but it would be fun to pick up a couple...

    NEW and excited!

I owned the Eclipse 6 and ran a mini reef for about a year but I had to add an extra light to the system an actinic. It was very risky since the bulb wasnt' under the splash guard. The eclipses in my opinion are not designed for mini reef, they are fish only or very low light corals like...

A question reguarding a brown algae problem!

I pay 7 dollars which includes tax for 10 gallons of Catalina water from my LFS. I pick up RO/DI from a penquin machine at the grocery. $.33 cents a gallon... Mike G

    Blue Carpet Anemone...

On a side note, I was checking over my SPS corals since I recently had a death and noticed a small crab about the size of a pinky finger nail. He was using his claws to pick and pick at the body of the SPS. I then kept watching him to see what he was up to and as I looked closer I noticed he...

    Blue Carpet Anemone...

Thanks all, Reef Central has a reefer that won tank of the month for Jan 06 and he shows that if you really research your stuff thoroughly, you can have LPS, SPS, Softies and a carpet anemone all in one. The proof is out there, just read his thread.... learn and share.... good husbandry is...

72 Oceanic Reef Ready Bow Front Evolution...

Andre, You picked a good product; No ich has been used by me on two separate occasions. The first time I used it was on my 12 gallon cube. I had gotten a really bad ich outbreak and I did nothing to cure it as I believed there was no medicines that could go into a reef tank with inverts...

    Blue Carpet Anemone...

Jesse, No Dragon's clowns haven't been interested in anything at all in my tank other than feeding time. Since they are tank raised clowns it takes them a while to learn the behavior of hosting an anemone; in the wild they don't host my Hoddoni anemone but rather choose the Gigantea...
