FYI, for anyone looking for baserock, HIROCKS on ebay has base rock at very cheap prices. The rock originates in Hawaii and is shipped over.

I noticed they didnt have much when I was in there a few nights ago looking for a tank. Do you know if they're going to start keeping more SPS?

Going with a bigger tank and looking for 20-35lbs of base rock in Houston. Not the Texas limestone type of rock you might see at Tropical Fish and Pet but something that resembles fiji. Anyone know where I can find this stuff? Thanks

Ok, I had by tank setup for about a week using ro/di water. I noticed underneath the return pump in the sump that when i pick it up there's a black type of algae that attaches itself to the pump and underneath near the suction cups. I dont have any pics but i'm wondering if anyone knows what...

20 with 30gal fuge. 1 1" drain, 1/2" return line split into two no throttling back of pump, with strategic plumbing that is. Depends on how much you're planning on running through the overflow. Shoot me an email and we'll talk about it. Im sure with some 1/2" flexible tubing it'll work.

Tank will have a big skimmer on it in a few weeks with very little bioload. 2 fish, 2" sandbed, 25lbs fiji, sps and some lps. Was thinking 10 astreas and 10 ceriths. BTW, I run macro for nutrient export and strictly use ro/di water. Anyone?

Well, it's sorta lighting related :) Thought i'd take a little poll here of MH users on small tanks; how how does your tank get in the summer? I've just set up my 20gal with a 30gal sump/fuge with a 175w 20k lighting the 20. I had the light on for 3-4 hours and the temp didnt rise over 74-75...

Nice DIY. One thing you might want to think about changing is that surge protector location. Just a few drops of water on that bad boy and you've got some issues.
