Base rock in Houston

Going with a bigger tank and looking for 20-35lbs of base rock in Houston. Not the Texas limestone type of rock you might see at Tropical Fish and Pet but something that resembles fiji.

Anyone know where I can find this stuff?

I don't know of any that really distinguish between base rock and the rest of their liverock. The only one that I know that does occasionally is Planet Fish, and it's generally when they get a load of tonga branch or something in that you notice a bit of a price drop on their other rock. I don't know anyone in town that sells liverock at 'base rock' prices though.

I'd call Global, Aquatic World, and Planet Fish and just see what their prices are. Your best bet is probably to find someone that is breaking down a tank or making room in a tank and needs to get rid of some liverock.

FYI, for anyone looking for baserock, HIROCKS on ebay has base rock at very cheap prices. The rock originates in Hawaii and is shipped over.
