    Fish?

Dottybacks are known for aggressive behavior to be sure. The Arabians are very beautiful though. A mated pair should be cool . :D I thought about wrasses, but I'm not sure which ones need sandbeds. Lots to consider. Guess it's a good thing it will take a while to set up and cycle out.

Modding an aquaclear500 for use as refugium

Those are cool! The 500 has a "real" 428 gph. flow. Even though they claim 500. They also have a 13.5" opening. Yes, they are huge. I checked one out for my 15g. to mount my IceProbe in. Decided to use the 300 instead, 8.5" opening. I think it would work great if you had the room to mount it...

    Fish?

Yeah, I think the Fu Man is out. I found out they don't like intense light also. I think the Assessors are out as well. After some research, I found out they like to hide a lot. I like you, think the Flame is looking like a good choice. They like the strong current, don't have a swim bladder so...

    Fish?

Yeah, I'm back. Been working 16 hour days for what seemed like forever. It's good to get back to a normal routine and get a new tank started. I'll try to get some pictures up when I get something good to show. Yes, this tank is going to house small developing colonies of wild colorful sps and...

    Fish?

Ok, I'm finally getting around to setting up a new nano. I'm working on the stand now. Anyway, this tank is going to be an sps only tank with one or two low bioload fish. It'll be a 15g. high, BB, MH lighting, Remora skimmer, LR or course, and thermoelectric chiller. Even though it's going to...

    96w Blasta

Could you not use small eyebolts instead? I think it would be more secure if you could.

    Moon Lights

I've got the "Aqua Moon Light" on a 55gal. that houses stonies. Not sure that it does anything special, but it looks kinda cool.

    Newbie lighting

I am a MH fan. There is no other means of lighting a tank as intense. However, I agree with DJ. If you are not going to keep sps or other light loving critters, you can certainly light a nano very well with PCs.

    Salt Comparisons

I started using Oceanic after using Instant Ocean for about 10 years. Oceanic is actually cheaper in my area, that's interesting. Great product so far.

    Nanotank.com got hacked!

I really hate people who think destruction is "cool". Anyway, I'm glad the site is back up. I want to see it continue to grow. Thank you DJConn for all your hard work.

    Tank & Electricity Bill?

With no MH and not any big pumps on a small tank, odds are you will not notice that much of an increase.

    tank setup ideas

I give up on it. I tried everything, even the ones in the gallery. Nothing! When I click "submit" I get a blank screen and have to click back on the site from my "favorites". Oh well! LOL...

Flatworms and how to get rid of them?

The six line may also eat most of your pods, but I say it's worth it to get rid of the flatworms. Flatworms creep me out! LOL ! I like dartfish and any of the gobies in general for a nano because they are colorful and have a low bio-load.

I don't know why it won't show up, been using it for a while at other places. I'm stumped also.

    tank setup ideas

Not really. One can have a beautiful unskimmed reef tank. I'm just saying I haven't seen a tank damaged from using one.
