    Monaco style aquarium

Weighing in late. The 3.5-4 inches of substrate bed would leave...ummm...about 8 inches of water 'height' in a 20GL. That's awfully shallow...but might make for an interesting display.

Will this light work in a AC70 fuge?

Update request Hey, Steve...I'm getting an A/C 50 for my 2.5G, and I'd like to know if there's any further comments or complaints on the light :gcool ...if not, I'm gonna order one. Thanks!

    5.5g tank.

That whole setup (including the stand, which is sweet) is really slick, so far...keep it up! :cool1:

    Is a 1/10HP chiler too much for a 35Gal

I have an Arctica 1/5HP chiller on my 29G. I have had no problem; it works exactly as needed, and it cuts on and off much less than a smaller chiller would. You should have no problem.

    Will 24" Outer Orbit fit on a 20" BC29

Just out of curiousity, what's the length of the tank, 29 inches? Are you going to be able to mount it? *edit* Well, duh...you meant the 29G biocube...

Has anyone made 'legs' for Coralife 18W 9"

Not a bad idea. I might be able to get hold of a heat gun.

Has anyone made 'legs' for Coralife 18W 9"

Yup, Jesse, that'd be the one. It doesn't have the mounting grooves the larger units do, and they're required for those legs. drty811, I'm trying to avoid excess heat. For that size tank they put out a considerable amount. I should be able to cobble together something, but it's gonna be in...

    "New" chiller

Man, did I get lucky. Well, lemme rephrase that. My 29G saltwater reef overheated due to a malfunctioning pump, and I lost almost $150 worth of fish, inverts, and corals (doesn't take much-put the word 'marine' in front of any living critter name and you can count on a major and immediate...

Modding an aquaclear500 for use as refugium

How were you planning to mount the IceProbe? I'm getting mentally prepped to do a 10G nano.

Has anyone made 'legs' for Coralife 18W 9"

I've got several of these from doing pico freshwater planted tanks. I'm now wanting to do a 2.5G saltwater, and I want to make sure the heat doesn't go over the top. Has anyone made legs for these? I used thread spools before, but they looked rather primitive.

    Critter die-off...?

Well, it stays at a constant 76 degrees F in here, so I don't think that's a problem. All my other tanks seem ok. I'm gonna put it down to normal die-off. I've left the light off from the beginning (little Coralife 18W 50-50 that I've put on some sewing thread spools to act as 'legs' in order...

    Critter die-off...?

Hey, there! Thanks for the warm welcome. I got hold of a Redsea test kit, from my neighbor, when I began this project. (I've been having luck with nano-planted freshwater tanks, so I thought I'd give the mini-reef a go.) Yup, I used ro/di water (in fact, I'm staring at three jugs right...

    Critter die-off...?

Okay. Set up the new 2.5-gallon reef tank. Water salinity is perfect, no chlorine/chloramine, no ammonia, no nitrItes, no nitrAtes-in short all's right with the world. Put in about three pounds of cured liverock Tuesday. Wednesday, notice tiny shrimp and bristleworms hanging out, seemingly...
