Would it be a problem having a 1/10HP on my 29 BC + fuge??

I just thought it would not have to work as hard.

the room the tank is in is a about 89-90 degrees in the summer

I think MikeG can help you on this. He's one of the only I know on this site that has a 1/10 HP chiller (It might be a 1/15, I'm not sure). But he has one one his 72g bow front.

I have an Arctica 1/5HP chiller on my 29G. I have had no problem; it works exactly as needed, and it cuts on and off much less than a smaller chiller would. You should have no problem.

Somethingfishy, you shouldn't have a problem using that a chiller rated for 1/10 horsepower. If the Chiller is not faulty the extra power just means that it should be more efficient at keeping your water temperature at the set parameter. With chillers you shouldn't be too concerned if their powerful, the problem lies with a chiller that is too weak for the water volume is intended to chill and then you can eventually burn out the chiller from overworking it. I hope this information is useful to you.

I have the 1/4 horsepower Artica chiller... I almost purchased the largest one they make but this one did the job... It can cool down my 90 gallon in 20 minutes...

Some where online is a program that can calculate all the heat your tank runs and recommend the correct chiller; that is how I choose mine...
