    Starfish question

Pic? I don't think I've seen anything labled a bali red star. I wish that red generals didn't eat coral, some of them are amazing. Although they get big enough that it probably wouldn't do all that great in my tank.

    Aquarium World

Here's my opinion about Aquarium world. It's shared by many folks on the local boards. Aquarium World, 13157 Northwest Freeway, Houston, TX 77040, phone 713-329-9989 Nice clean, huge store. Huge 70,00gal tank. Most expensive place in town. Employees run the gamut in...

    Possible 5.5g Refugium

I have a friend that used the same method to quiet his 180. I tried it on my 55 and it never worked for me, which is probably why I forgot to mention it. B

    Starfish question

The orange linkias tend to be a bit hardier than the blue or purple. At least that's what I've been told by a couple of the LFS owners that I actually trust. Sometimes it's hard to wait for an animal for a couple weeks, especially if the store seems hesitant about putting them on hold for you...

November Contest - enter your best zoanthid photo

 Yeah, between you and Stef, there might be a case made for submitting two pics. However your orig question could confuse others that only have one person on the end of the screen name. Narkon 'n'more = 2 people Nathan and his wife Stefanie. Brian

    Possible 5.5g Refugium

First I'd just like to say that it looks great. I'd have centered the tank and just drilled a hole to run it through to the main tank, but then I'm not particularly attached to nearly any of my furniture. It's hard to tell from your pic, but if your overflow box has a standard...

    my 32 gallon

I feel the same way about tap water, but I know a guy that uses nothing but tap water and dechlorinator tablets, at least that was his claim the last time I saw his tanks, which was about a year ago. I haven't checked to see if he's changed his habits regarding tap water. He has pics from back...

New week at Aquarank - please vote for Nanotank!

Ok...New suggestion...What about an image link at the top of the page as you come into the site that you can click on to vote for nanotank? I've managed to forget more than once to go through the sticky thread to vote because there were other new topics in the general forum and I got...

Crocea from my 20 gal pic

LOL...I got the first one I tried for about the same price. One of the LFS here got a huge shipment in near X-mas, and they priced them according to color. I picked one of the lower quality ones because I wasn't sure it would do ok under 130w of pc lights because you always hear "You have to...

Pic of the week. ---Perched fish.

:D Heh, that pic is great. My urchins pick up the snails/crabs all the time. We have to keep an eye on them so we can pull them off. One time the tuxedo had a medium sized hermit on it, and on the hermit was a small cerith snail. I tried to get the camera, but all my batteries were dead...

    Phischy's Project: PtII-New Critters

LOL...Sounds like Neptunes. I very rarely go in that store. It's not close enough to me to be convenient. Since I'm gonna have to drive to go to a store anyway I tend to go to the ones over near Bellaire-Chinatown. B

    Phischy's Project: PtII-New Critters

LOL...Ok so I didn't realize that you'd already found the first article. I agree that getting a live yellow tang and using it as bait isn't very humane....Boy wouldn't the tang police love that. "I put this fat and healthy fully grown yellow tang in my new 30 gal tank, but before you get...

Ok..that looks more like an isopod than an amphipod to me. Here's a couple good articles on them. http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-05/rs/ http://www.petsforum.com/personal/trevo ... ceans.html

    Boss's 18gal half-round Jebo work tank

Actually I described things inaccurately in my earlier post. The MJ1200 is attached to a pvc pipe that goes down the back behind the rock, then is split and runs under the sand to the two rotating heads at the front of the tank. The green duck-bill looking spout is the return line from the...

Pic of the week. ---Perched fish.

 That is a fantastic pic SM. I just got a blue neon cleaner yesterday. I took a few pics of it last night, but nothing I was thrilled about. I love it when they do something silly, and you can catch it. I keep trying to catch the little blenny in my wife's tank sleeping in the clam...
