    Frag Fun at JohnandDawns

Just a suggestion, you may want to try a free photo host like photobucket.com to post your pics on the site... it allows you better quality and larger images. Great specimens though... So how are J&D's tanks in person? I would LOVE to see them in person! Jesse

    Jesse's 20L+20L fuge...

Well.. I "rescued" Eddie's T. Crocea from the evil Bi-color Blenny! LOL! So I now have TWO clams. The crocea has been in the tank only since last night around 10 p.m. These pictures were taken only about 1 hour after lights came on today. Here is the T. Crocea... T. Crocea from...

Good call with the Salifert test kits... they are great. Aggitating the surface will help alot with the oxygen exchange too. Jesse

    SCARED OF LIGHT!

What are the dimensions of the tank (LengthxWidthXHieght)? If you are for sure interested in clams, your best bet is do go straight to metal halides. You can probably keep clams with a 4-lamp VHO system if you have a 20g long (30"Lx12"Wx12"H). Here is a great link to read to learn a...

Bicolor Blenny picking my Crocea Clam

Today, when I was installing Eddie's new lighting, I took the T. Crocea home with me :-) I will post pics tomorrow... Thank you Eddie so much... sorry you had to get rid of it. It is tough sometimes picking which tankmate to get rid of and which one to keep. If things change someday, it...

    Nudibranch?

That is indeed a nudibranch...DONT GET IT!! They have a VERY specialized diet specific to each species. I had bought a scarlet nudi0 for a flatworm problem that only ate the flatworms... I have heard that these things have little-to-no longevity in captivity. Jesse p.s. Check out...

    Acrylic or Glass?

Glass... I would not buy acrylic myself, and I have read MANY people who have fallen into the "acrylic pit" only to say that they would never do it again. HEre is an old thread that discussed this: http://www.nanotank.com/forum/viewtopic ... ht=acrylic Jesse

Maxi - Jet 900 will not fit ?

I could be wrong, but I believe the "standard" upgrade is to a Maxi-Jet 600. I hope that you can get the 900 to fit... hopefully someone else with personal experience can chime in. Jesse

    Lighting problem

these are my favorite PC lamps... http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/P ... 004+113346 I would do the 34" Dual Actinic 420/460nm and Dual Daylight 6700ºK/10000ºK... that would allow you to a dawn/dusk on your fixture (I believe). Or if you have square pins, you could do the same...

    What next?

Yes, great find. And like Jennie noted, make sure your LR is resting on the bottom glass, not on top of your sand. BTW, got any pics? Jesse

    Picture Frame 20's!

Yeah... the smaller the hole, the faster the flow. I have one very small hole in each of the caps...one of the smaller drill bits that I own. I have dual 1" bulkheads though, so I cant completely relate with your situation besides that I have heard/read that a 1" bulkhead does about 600 GPH...

How much flow is too much flow?

The clowns seem to like it. Clowns and firefish are both pretty strong swimmers too... won't be a problem. Jesse
