Magnesium is supposed to help to stabilize pH and Alkalinity. It also plays a role in Ca absorbtion/ precipitation. You should really need to dose it if you are doing regular weekly ~20% water changes. Plus I have only seen it in LARGE 16 oz bottles, twice the size of the "normal" 8 oz...

I would take those threads with a grain of salt. Those are all uncharactaristic of the royal gramma. It seems to me that some of those people that had problems with the gramma had them in tanks that were too small. You can buy just about any fish and every once in a while you will get one...

I agree that you could use the nudi to significantly cut back on the aiptasia. From there, you can maybe trade out your cleaner shrimp for a true peppermint shrimp, Lysmata wurdemanni, not Lysmata californica. They will take care of the aipatasia that is bound to pop up. Or could could just...

I have heard alot of good things about this fish and in fact it will probably be the next fish I add to my system. I have heard that it wont bother inverts like your Sexies and they are active, but will dart in and out of the LR. Jesse

Just take your time... I wouldnt add an anemone until the tank is 6 months old or so. I would also suggest one fish at a time, with at least 2 weeks in between adding another fish. Jesse
