    Yellow Cucumber

I don't think I've lost anything due to the cuke dying, but even running carbon on the system I saw an impact. I wouldn't really recommend them for a small system. They are kind of neat, but in my opinion, not worth the risk. B

New to nano tanks...could someone please help me put

www.reefcentral.com www.nano-reef.com www.reefs.org There are lots of others. Use the search function on all of them. So far all you've done is say that you're new, and that you want info? Well that's all these sites are a tool for sharing info, stories, pics etc....on this hobby...

For those that do not know, I am leaving of the nano range

Sweet! Congrats on great bargain. B

    Yellow Cucumber

Unless you just think they're nifty I'd skip it. They're not much of an addition to a clean up crew like some people think they're gonna be. They do NOT clean your sand, detritus or anything else, they're filter feeders, and will simply stick someplace and wait for food. I've had a yellow one...

    Tank set up price?

Sorry...but that's pretty much an impossible question to answer. There are too many variables. I know people that have to have the newest-coolest most expensive equipment, and they'd spend $3000 setting up a 30g tank, easy. I'm more of the used, get the job done on budget kinda guy myself...

New to nano tanks...could someone please help me put

How long has the tank been setup? Has it already gone through it's cycle? If not then the first thing you should do is take the fish back out of the tank and return them to the store until the tank is fully set up and it has had a chance to cycle. I apologize if the tank's already cycled, but...

    New Orleans trip.

I went to New Orleans a couple weeks ago. I hit the aquarium, and posted the pics that turned out here. Obviosly these links will be pic intensive. I thought these might be interesting to anyone visiting or traveling through New Orleans. http://marshreef.com/modules.php?name=F ...

Is this a plug in and play kit?

I think they're pretty much a waste of money. They're about the same price as pc bulbs that are much higher wattages. They also require more height-space because they're fatter than most normal pc bulbs. B

    Coral Feeding

Pellet food probably isn't the best choice to try to feed corals. Meaty foods like mysis, brine, krill, cyclopeze, maybe something as large as silversides, are all good choices. Personally I've never taget-fed my brains, frogspawns, bubbles, etc.. The only coral that I target feed is my sun...

    UGF+Saltwater tank?

I'd skip the coral until you've done some research. Nearly all of them need light, and the 'one that came with the tank' isn't likely to meet the needs of any of them. Once you start looking at the different types of corals and you figure out which types you'd like to try to keep, then you'll...

    Yikes!! What is this??

I've heard them called pineapple sponges...Other than they're a sign that things are healthy, there isn't really much to tell. They're harmless, colorless, boring. B
