http://www.clamsdirect.com Hit their forums. My understanding is that adults also need phyto, just not nearly as much, and that it differ from species to species as to how much they need. I'm not keeping clams right now, or I'd be able to point you at specific threads/info. B

A normal 1" bulkhead can handle 600gph. I would guess that a 1/2" would be half or less than that. B

You may not have to add larger holes. Adding Ts or 90s to your plumbing reduces flow quite a lot. B

This is the only online site I found that has it listed. http://sf6thaveaquarium.com/lighting.html Here's the list of USA JBJ dealers. The Hidden Reef is in Philidelphia PA. They don't have the lamp listed on their website, but perhaps they could order it for you...

Exiled, I'm not understanding what it is you're wanting to do. You're talking about having a wet/dry. A lot of people don't like them, but I have no issues with them. My large system is using a wet/dry and has been ever since it was set up. Hillbilly was suggesting a filter sock someplace...

That's the thing with the DSLRs, same as film SLRs, you need to be careful about choosing something you like, because you're quickly going to have more money wrapped up in lenses than in the camera itself. You're choosing a whole system, not just a camera. This is why you have guys/gals with...

    Sand Goby help

1hr is pretty quick for a new fish to die. It's almost always a problem with the way you're acclimating your new critters. If you're using a dripline and spending 30mins to an hour to acclimate the new stock, then there's some other problem. If you're just floating the bag to let the...

Hmm...I know several professional photographers. Most of them are using DSLRs almost exclusively. I know a few years back they were playing with digital but still shooting film, but in the last few years the DSLR's have gotten better and the printing processes from digital formats has improved...

    Canister or Powerfilter?

Yep I'd still have a PH. In my wife's 10g she's got the AC500 on the back and a rio 50. But you can add the PH at any time, so I'd just set it up, let it run and as you start to add corals you can decide if there's enough flow in the tank or not. B
