Check the phone book and see if you can find a signmaker in your area. Another option if you can find it would be contact paper, I don't know what all colors are available but it is pretty cheap too. if you can't find it anywhere local to you then There is a LFS near me that will ship. Their...
I would stay with one queen conch, they need a fairly large tank in order to get enough food unless you add food for them.
I would also add several more nassarious snails. I like the nassarious vibex, they are great sandsifters spending most of their time buried in the sand and don't get very...
I like the Tronics heaters but I am not sure of the smallest ones length. I have a thermal compact 25 watt in the second chamber of my nanocube. It is only 6" long and comes in either 25 or 50 watts. HTH, Skip
The queen conch is not really suitable for a nano-tank, there wouldn't be enough food for them. I would go with 2 or 3 nassarious snails (nassarious vibex), they are good sandbed cleaners and stay small enough so they won't outgrow a nano. HTH, Skip
I haven't had any experience with them but since they are a filter feeder they will need a well established aquarium in order to be able to get enough food. I don't think the average nano-tank would have enough food for more than one unless direct target feeding was also done. Good luck, Skip
You have a pretty nice looking set-up so far. Painting the tank now would be a chore, you may want to consider using black vinyl for your back ground. This is the same stuff used by signmakers to cut letters out of, it is self adhesive and will stick on the back of your tank. Skip
What you dose with will depend on what your tank needs. You may be able to maintain perfect water parameters with water changes alone. I would wait until you have your tank stocked and do some testing before just randomly starting to add different supplements. JMO, Skip
I don't think that there really is a right or wrong way to aquascape your tank, remember in nature gravity and wave action is what aquascapes the reef. I try to make a few caves and bridges and overhangs but otherwise I mostly concentrate on making a secure structure. Good luck, Skip
It looks like maybe we don't know everything about the animals we keep. If he can keep a 3 1/2" clam in a .75 pico without direct feeding then just maybe they can adapt to lower light levels and still survive. I think I will stick with more traditional light levels for clams unless they are...
Thanks for the welcome incysor. I have already picked up quite a bit of information here. I have been keeping aquariums since I was about 7 years old and saltwater tanks for about 13 years. I have thought many times about starting up a nano but the closest I ever got was a 2 1/2 gallon dwarf...
After reading the previous posts I may have to go and find some Geritol
I am a 39 year old paramedic.
I don't have a pic available right now but will post when one is available.
PS I just found this board today and look forward to learning alot here.
