Nope, stay calm! They are a good part of your clean up crew! If you'll notice over the next few days the area around the 'worm' you are seeing will be very clean, as the tenticles you are seeing reach out and grab stuff from the sandbed and pull it to the main body.

I don't think it is actually a part of the zoathids that you are seeing, but possibly a worm of some sort that just happens to be around the zoas.

I'll agree with the guys that it is probably time for your fist water change, then to start the weekly changes. That is a sure fire way to reduce the nitrates, another way is to add a fuge and let the plant life feed off of them(to a degree).

I'm sure someone will chime in here soon for this thread, wish I could help but I'm not much of a zoa person.
