I cutback on lighting rather than 10-12 hours a day, I went 6-8. Usually the hours when I'm back home to observe the tank. Plus the picture itself wasn't really detailed on where it was located? Was it in an area with no water flow? I also put a stronger powerhead to get a better waterflow too...

I'd invest in a test kit ASAP! Like Erik said bristles are hard to kill... While diping my colonies in iodine bristles would die after being in the solution for 10-15 minutes! Welcome to nanotank :mrgreen:

I had that problem and got two tangs but I have a 66 gallon. So far its been a week and a half and already patches are disappearing. I should have tank a before and after pic. I'm hoping after a month it'll be gone.... :mrgreen:
