Sounds like you have it pegged for a starter 10 gallon reef. With that lighting you will have no problem with zoos, shrooms and the other soft corals.
Just take it slow and easy and do your weekly water changes.
Welcome aboard.
I know.....
Where in the hell is Yulan......
I am 20 miles up river, from where NY, PA and NJ meet. The lake is Washington Lake. North west of NYC
My zip is 12792
I know you want to give it a local home, but if all else fails, I wanted you to know it could have a good home here in New York, lakefront with a good view....
Ed,
We live and we learn, sorry it didn't work out for you. Don't blame yourself, it would have died in the store, you gave it a good home and place to die in peace.

I think you will be impressed
You have done a great job on that canopy!
Let us know how it does on the tank. I added a similar canopy to my 20 gallon and had a slight problem with heat, but a fan cured that problem. The second thing I am waiting to hear is how it effects your zoos. Certain zoos in my tank started to not...
The only thing I would add to above mentioned "fast set-up", is to do larger water changes for the first month or two. I would do at least 25% a week for 8 weeks.....
That and be sure to buy aquacultured clowns.
From the items you mentioned in your first post, you would have no problem with that lighting till you save for a new set up. If you see something that needs a bit more light, just move it higher on the live rock. I would say you are in good shape, even better if you find that it's not the tank...
Sorry to hear about the mess....
I like the AGA all glass 10, been using them for years and years and never had a problem.
On the lighting I would step up to the 24" coralife LUNAR Aqualight. Looks fine on a 10 gallon and kicks your watts up to 130.
plus those powerquad bulbs will...
