    First Post, have some questions..

    If there was enough ammonia to kill two damsels in less than a month, then I would be sure to get the water tested before adding anything else. Next time you are going to cycle a tank, just use a shrimp from the supermarket, rather than a live fish. It is much more humane and works just as well.

    Nathan, Welcome aboard and from what I have seen here so far, there is a lot of good advice! Like dragon79 mentioned, get a good test kit and a refractor, both will be worth their weight in gold. One month seems like a long time to someone just setting up a new tank, but in saltwater...

    I am new and relly don't know anyone yet, but incysor, I wish you and the wife the best and a quick recovery from the medical and money problems. Life deals us some real problems, thank goodness we have wonderful people around us like you. Your wife is very lucky to have you.

    yeah...what skipm said. Plus you need to decide where you have room for it. Above the 6, below or behind. Depends how much clutter you can live with in your 6. Drilling has the least clutter to get the water out, plus it skims the water surface for you. I wouldn't have a tank...

    The bulbs are 21 inches with their bases and yes it does hang over just a bit over each end, but I like it because the whole 20" have full light over them. It is in an Orbit fixture, with the legs, so it really doesn't look bad at all......

    This is an all glass 10 gallon with a sump. Lighting is 1 65 watt 10k pc and 1 65 watt atinic. You can tell I am a zoo freak..... :loveface
