First one is a bristleworm and the second might be a type of sponge.

Aiptasia is difficult to get rid of because they are able to retract back into a hole in the live rock. Also if any piece of the original is left it can reproduce into many more.

First of all :welcome to Nanotank from a fellow Texan! If you are planning on using a standard 10g AGA then you have numerous options. You've listed plenty of circulation so you can even go as far as converting the filter to a fuge. As for lighting that will make your coral glow, go with MH...

If it is aiptasia, sometimes it isn't as easy as it sounds. Let us know if retracts when you mess with it, obviously hair algae doesn't do this. :cool1:
