    Skimming...

I am of the belief that any *overskimming* is very easily controlled by our weekly (or biweekly) water changes.

    Dream Nano Tank

:welcome to Nanotank.com! 5 Gallons for two clown fish is a bit too cramped. Actually I wouldn't even put 1 clown fish in a 5 gallon for long term. Clown gobies and other smaller fish may do OK in that small of an area. There are quite a few choices out there and there is no one size fits...

    looking for new tank

He he, just wait. You'll see a deal or think "I can make this 10 gallon into a tank on the cheap and it can hold all my frags..." and it's all down hill from there. (90g, 28g, 20g, 12g... althought my 20 gallon is empty and mocking me now  )

So what are your hobbies other than nano tanks?

Nice! My buddy had a parrot (I think...) "Picaso" that would lean over and look at you with one eye ... and then nod his head with that "come over here" attitude ... then fling his bird seed at you! I swear the bird laughs when he does this too. Funniest thing I've ever seen a bird do!

    Newbie Please HELP!!

What do you want to keep in the tank? If you want corals you may want to look into T5 or Metal Halide lighting for a 55 gallon tank. If you just want fish than any light will do.

3 week old 2.5 gallon pico, coming together

Just rocks? Keep them submerged in salt water the entire time is best. Buckets with lids work great. When you get to the destination bring the whole thing up to temp and add into the new tank. BRUTE trash cans are great because the plastic used to make them will not leach any phosphates...

noob starting a 5 gal nano

A bio wheel can help with a fish only tank. Just some media will work. Or you can make you own hang on back trickle filter of sorts. Please post some pictures when you unpack it.

    Newbie Please HELP!!

:welcome to Nanotank.com! Geoff has you off to a great start. For fish and coral you will need to think which corals and fish you want then get the equipment to meet those creatures needs. Tank, sand, water, live rock, lights, and possibly some form a mechanical filtration (sponges...
