    New Oceanic Biocube

You can use a calculator like this one to figure out the true volume of the tank... http://www.reefcentral.com/calc/vol.php You should remove the bioballs if you plan on creating a reef tank. I think you are right about the skimmer placement too. Hope that helps and WELCOME to...

    mixing & storing water

I do about 15 gallons at a time, so instead of getting a heater for every 5g container, I fillup the bath tub with hot water, put a thermometer in one of the buckets, and wait until they get to about 80*. Then I do my water change. Jesse

Yeah those are great tanks... they need some major pruning! I have heard that thsoe flame scallops are tough to keep and most urchins are not reef safe, so keep a close eye on those two. I like your setup alot... I look forward to seeing that goby once he is nursed back to being plump and...

Is there a way to lower the temp in the room? Say like A/C or a room fan? If you have a room fan, you can have it blow in the direction of the tank... prop the lid open an inch or two. You can also add a fan or two to the lid. Make sure your heater is working properly and isnt stuck in the...

Sorry, hopefully I can help you out. This really depends on how often/much you change your water. If you practice large, frequent water changes, many trace minerals etc will be replenished without dosing anything. I personally use many Kent products... Coral-Vite, Iodine, Strontium and...

    Cyano Outbreak

Was size tank is it and how many GPH do you have? You may want to back off your lights for a few days, manually remove as much as you can, and try to decrease the amount of excess nutrients in the water. Cyano cannot grow in areas of moderate to high flow, so increasing the overall flow or...
