    Pics of my 29g Biocube

Im sorry... I dont want to be a jerk BUT... 1) Goniopora in general do not do well in captivity. They are one of the only corals in the hobby that we know almost nothing about. They can be doing fine for months and then suddenly die unexpectedly. When they do so, they can wreak havoc on...

    Pics of my 29g Biocube

I just noticed the clams... looks like two maximas? Im sure you may know this but a tank that is less than two months old is a little unstable for clams. Also, maximas LOVE light... the lighting in an all-in-one tank is most likely too weak for them. Keep a close eye on them and move them up...

Kind of serious...kind of funny too.

Yeah... they were talking about that on the radio the other day. They had something like 39 pages of quotes where Bush was saying "stay the course"... then they say they were never "stay the course"... very funny. Jesse

    Name for this tank type

You may want to look at a tank like a 40g breeder because it would allow you more depth from front to back... something like 18". This would allow you a space of like 4"-6" and still have a viewing area that is around 12"-14" front to back. Plus they are 36" long which allows for more lighting...

TONG's!!!! lol... i know i know. THey hyad cleaned the tank a week or so ago and must have treated because there was no red slime or flatworms. plus I dipped this thing in freshwater with Flatworm Exit, Lugol's, and examined each and every polyp on this colony and all my other colonies...

    Jesse's 20L+20L fuge...

So I am planning on gluing down all my frags this week, but before I do so I wanted to dip everything as a precautionary thing. So I was able to borrow Eddy's Lugol's from him and I followed MuchoReef's freshwater Iodine dip. Everything went well... didnt find anything bad, and all colonies...

    Problems!

An anemone dying will QUICKLY turn everything south... they can "nuke" a tank easily. I think most of this was spawned from the death of the anemone. As far as the star, I dont know much about them, so I cant tell you much about that. Do at least a 75% water change. Add some carbon right...

    Diatoms...?

Razor blades work great if you use them carefully and on GLASS only. Old credit cards work wonders too. THey have metal and plastic scrapers you can buy at you LFS too. Most likely is it just a green algae or maybe even a calcerous algae like coraline. A magnet glass cleaner works great too...
