Don't have a nano anymore but I still wanted to post pics...

Great pics but does that acro have red bugs? Jesse

    Bristle worms

I dont think you hurt anything... including the poulations long term. I dont think youwillever get rid of all of them. They should have plenty to eat though because of the dead mater falling off of the LR and all that. They are scavenger as thus they sort of naturally control their own...

    Quick questions

Dont do water changes in an attempt to correct those parameters. It is natural for a new tank to go through a "cycle" and it will balance out on it's own. Keep testing every few days and in about 3-4 weeks it should be where it needs to be.

    Cris' 60

I would personally suggest 2 ATI blue plus, 1 ATI midday, ! UVL Super Actinic. Lots of PAR, nice blue tint. The cap was a good choice. It should do fine. Is it already mounted? Jesse

    Jesse's 20L SPS tank

I personally like a blue tint. If you go with 2 white lamps and 2 blue lamps, the result will be very white. I love the blue plus lamps because they have nearly as much PAR as the best daylights but have a nice 20,000k+ spectrum. I coulnt pass up pieces like the Jokers or the rockstars...

    ID please

That is a pistol shrimp. Have you been hearing any clicking noises coming from the tank? Jesse

    Plate coral or frogspawn

I would personally go with a frogspawn. You may find that your clowns will try to host just about anything though.

    aquatraders.com experience?

I would stay away from them based on the majority of the info I have heard about that place. Jesse

    planted 2/3 gal. betta tank

Yes sir! Tomorrow I should be adding a little bit of duckweed. That should add a nice touch to the tank plus maybe make it a bit less likely that the betta will try to jump. I've had a few bettas in my day but this has the most personality by far. It is in our bedroom on...

    Lights

Good choice. Im confident you will be happy with your decision. Great starter tank with a good volume of water and enough lighting for corals. And I'm sorry if I overwhelmed you. I think I may have a tendency to do that. Please dont feel like you bit off more than you can chew...

    Lights

This, however, I would have to disagree with. After its all said and done, T5HO's have nearly 4x the total output making it into the tank as a power compact lamp. This is because T5's have about twice the output watt-for-watt, combined with very efficient reflectors, generally better phosphors...

    planted 2/3 gal. betta tank

LOL, no. That may be a little further away that I expected though. This is just a little something to play around with. I love bettas and just wanted to give it a swing with little live plant and all. Jesse

    Lights

All T5's are not created equal. In general, the term "T5" on a reef site is in reference to the "high output" T5's. T5HO's are overdriven with an electronic ballast to increase their output. The lamps on that tank are T5NO (normal output T5's). T5 is a reference to the diameter of the...

    Need Advice please

That would be a good choice. 24g of water is going to be inherently more stable than 12g. As far as the 72 watts, they are designed with fans to keep the temperature down. There is also a plastic shield between the bulbs and the water. For a good starting point on corals, look at things...

    Need Advice please

What kind of corals and stuff do you want/plan to keep? If you go piece by piece, expect the lighting to be the most expensive part. Power compacts are usually enough for tanks under 15" or so tall. ahsupply.com is great for their PC retrofit kits, and I like the Current USA power compact...

    Blooming plumeria

Just thought I'd share some pictures of my plumeria that is just starting to bloom. This is the first flower to open this year... There are many more just waiting to bloom... Does anyone else here grow these? I'm starting to like them! Most of the time they just look...
