    I'm back.

Hey B- Sorry to hear about your tough time here recently. Sometimes life challenges us all but only makes us stronger people in the end. You guys will get through this. I too recently downsized with my tanks. I went from five tanks the beginning of this year to now just two and I might be...

flatworm exit - some random thoughts and observations

Yeah flatworms suck big time. I'd just dose FWE and be done with it. I'd also do it again like 2-3 days later then do your big water change. I've never noticed a loss in pods when using it. Weird... Keep us posted on it.

    #1 nano site!

Thanks for the encouragement guys! With the site growing like it is and with all awesome contests going on, I think were still very fortunate to have a nice small community feel to it. I personally don't tolerate 'flaming' or other silly acts. I've worked hard at keeping this site the...

    Fragging a Monti Cap...

Damn nice job my friend. It would be really cool to take a picture, once a week, from the exact same angle to document its growth/recovery. I think it will end up doing just fine. Dremels are a very important tool in reefing. I use mine more and more.

    What the heck is it

For some reason, it really looked like a baby snowflake eel to me at first. I agree with everyone that I think it is indeed a peanut worm.

5.5 gallon bad luck & tank crash

Well reefers, I had some really bad luck this weekend. Before I headed out of town on a camping trip this Friday, I took apart my Aquaclear 150 to remove a small hermit that got lodged in the impeller (it was making a horrid sound). I put everything back together, tested it and went on my way...

    im moving!

It is my opinion not to ever move tanks with water/corals in them. Just too risky. Its actually really easy to move everything into a big cooler. Here is a post I made awhile back documenting moving 3 tanks: http://www.nanotank.com/forum/viewtopic ... ving+tanks

    Beware of hackers...

This site has been hacked once. My host was able to recover from a few days back (only lost 2 days of posts) but it was a pain in the butt to get everything setup again. Yeah, those sites must keep their version of phpBB up to date which I do religiously now. I helps to keep hackers out...
