Welcome. Your lighting sounds good. I doubt that you will need a skimmer if you keep up with the water changes. I would back off of the amount of live rock a bit. I would go around 7-8 pounds and have good aquascaping. This is something that I wish I would have done instead of cramming it...

Since the warm months are upon most of us, I decided to make this fan for my tank. This setup can cool my tank by about 3°F. I had most of the supplies already so I can't say exactly what it would cost if you had to buy the parts...probably around $30 if you had to buy the CPU fan...

reefsmart sorry i didn't see your message before. The pump below just adds more water flow to my tank. It adds around 900 GPH more flow. If you don't do a refugium then I recommend atleast adding a closed loop system to any tank 20+gallons. It will help tremendously.

A few updated photos. I didn't do a fantastic job on the photos...they were done in a hurry. My daughter in one of her favorite places...next to the tank harassing her tank buddies.

Just a hunch...but could the Sun Coral just be a name for the yellow version of a tube coral? I might research this a bit more because it's interesting and i'll let you guys know if i find anything.
