Need stocking help? on coral and inverts

:welcome Kenneth. This really isn't the best place to post this. I would suggest posting a want-to-buy ad in the classifieds here and it will get more attention. It is important that we keep these theads on topic. Thanks, Jease

    black sponge

Yes it can if it isnt cleaned regularly. It traps all that stuff that you dont want in your tank but if you dont clean it, the detritus will begin to break down which can ultimately lead to higher nitrates. I suggest cleaning the sponges 1-2 times per week. HTH, Jesse

Well you dont really need a sump, just something like a 3g/5g bucket or something similar. Do you have room in the stand or next to your tank? Check this out (a few posts down)... http://www.nanotank.com/forum/viewtopic ... o&start=45 Jesse

    My 10 gallon build.

How did I miss this one?? That Seachem salt tests really well. You should like that stuff. That black sand and back should really make your corals stand out. I like how you cant see much of the equipment. Good job. Jesse

Hey nice to see you back Alex! That is a whole lot of moving! This tank looks good though. A good assortment of zoas/palys already. So, about that PPE... That thing looks aweful. It is probably just a matter of it not liking your tank. Tell you what though. Ill pay shipping and you can...

Ceramic rings - Do they really increase nitrates??

Correct. It is somewhere in the middle. It absorbs the nitrogenous compounds and uses them... along with light.. to grow. Then, when the Chaeto grows, you remove some and that completes the export of the nitrogenous wastes. I think that getting "uncured" live rock results in some very...
