Thought I would start a thread that anyone can contribute to that 'shows off' thier home town, favorite holiday spot, local attractions ect.
Since we are all from very different parts of the world, I thought it would be interesting for everyone.
I'll start.
I, like a lot of the new members live in the South East Corner of the State of Queensland in Australia.
This website shows off my favorite pass time, getting in or under the water.

We have endless waterways here on the Gold Coast and all that water comes in and out through the Gold Coast Seaway. It is only clear at the top of the high tide. Visability varies from 5 to 15 metres. It mostly has tropical fish, most species and only a few corals.

This link shows an event that happens every year. Bull sharks, very common in the waterways, congregate in large numbers on the beaches to catch and eat the bait fish that come close to shore. The bait fish sometimes move in unexpectidly around surfers which makes for an interesting news story.
