Those things you have are not bristle worms, they're baby loch ness monsters!!!!

Thats where I saw them... "Tremers". Last night one of the larger worms were on the rocks and I took a algae scrapper on a stick. I pinned him on a rock and he some how squeezed his way out. :sad: He was cut half way but still connected, then he got away :evil: Those suckers are slippery... Any other tips?

I once used an empty snail shell with a little bit of brineshrimp in it...placed it as far away from the rock as possible, then just waited. I would come back every half hour or so. Then when you see him eating, you just take out the shell along with the worm.

buy a 4-line/12-line wrasse and watch them munch away at them :)

Mine is pretty much bristleworm free because of him. Gotta love that constant hunter!

Good luck!

Will a wrasse be able to live in a 5 gallon? I'm unfamiliar with the fish, please verify this for me. Thank Steve.... :lol3: We might have a solution...

For the shell trick... Won't all my snails jump on t the food and eat it? I trid something like that but all my snails just stayed on it. Thanks everyone!

Is there any other fish that take care of Bristle worms? Thanks Jesse

Eddy did you have a chance to go to "Tongs" about corals?

Island, I had a shippment come in that was delayed. One of the critters was a huge brittle star, and due to the delay didn't make it past the night. The big worm in the picture was cleaning up the mess.
Did it happen to go through TN My order was stuck there last nite and I have seen no polyp extension ...the rule is now never to ship in winter ...

oops i fotgot but anyways there was some grey with orange skirt zoo's (i got one for my self) and there is always some tiny hammers and torchs but not with bright great dots like mine just brownish and some darkred polyps.. but all those frags are $15 so i dont know what you want cause last time you told me that you dont want to spend too much so here is my plan if you want..

i was thinking on getting you:

* frag of hammer
* frag of orange skirt zoos (really nice)
* frag of lavander shroom
* frag of green starbust (not that big but a little bright looks good and with time will look better but is up to you)
*something else that ill find or you just want 4 frags

and like i mentioned all those frags are $10 but the orange skirt zoo is for $15 so that will be $45 or 55 (is you want 5 frags) plus shipping and ill buy everything from tong's then ill put them on my tank for one day and then i can ship them for you but i think will be bether express mail or next day service of fedex or ups dont you think if you want this ill sent it in a box 7"L x 7"W x 7H what do you think and find out the shipping cost ...any suggestions... that all i can do for you cause i dont have frags that i can sell you from my tank just shrooms for know so tell me what you think...

I dont think that I would suggest a 4- or 12-line wrasse for a 5 gallon.

You could swing it.....get a small one. I have one in my 6'er. He's the only dominating fish in there.

Jess: As far as the 6 line, I'm sure he could. I should have mentioned that in my post.

and also i just remember somebody told me if im not wrong N3M3S1S that an arrow crab will take care of the bristleworms.. so the thing is that will be safe for me cause of my gobies??? but he might work for you islandcreation .. ahh here is why i didnt got cause Large specimens may attack small slow moving fish. (and have seen only big ones not any small ones)

i know i can get a small one but not sure of having one cause of my criters....and another one is the banded coral shrimp but another one that i cant keep why?? read....

I have heard that arrow crabs are not reef safe and go after coral polyps, I have no direct experience bit I have avoided them for this reason.

Same here...that and you cannot catch them once they are in you tank...you would have to tear it completely apart to get at it.

I've learned from experience that most crabs are hard to catch. I had a HH crab that made more over exert myself :mrgreen: just trying to get him out of a 5 gallon tank!

On a side note, I've come to the conclusion that bad crabs (aquaria type of course) make grown women say very bad words! :mrgreen:
