Very nice. I wish they made T5's to fit over a nano cube. I would upgrade to that, but I'm making a DIY MH pendant.

The ballast and bulb should be here by Friday.

Dude, I dont know what you are talking about... that shroom is pretty sweet! It gets about 4" or so across... sometimes a little larger. It seems to be picking up some turqouise.

And I have yet to take pics since I got the replacement ballast. Maybe Ill feel up to taking some tomorrow.

Nice pic Jesse. Yes, more pictures please :mrgreen: . How are those clams doing with the new lighting? And didn't you have a monti cap at one point?

Sorry to say that :oops: it just that the shroom has potencial but it look ugly next to my hairy shrooms :razz: :lol: but i know it will color up more under your light and then ill be wanted it back :razz: ... lol... but nice size haaaa any pics of it??

The clams dont mind the new lighting... they look pretty sweet under it.

I have a green monti cap still... actually when I went to move the rock around, I found out that it already had attached itself to the rock. I had to remove it to put it in a better place.

Ill try to post pics of everything sometime today.

Edgray, did I get these from you?? They are tiny... at least half the diameter of a normal zoa but the color is AMAZING!!



Overall, I like the lighting, but I REALLY want to switch out one of the daylights with another actinic...

I thought the tank looked bare just observing it, but the FTS REALLY looks bare. I think it is just that all my small little frags just blend in too much.

Everything is REALLY coloring up very nicely. My blues which were completely bleached out by the MH are already returning to their beautiful color.

I think that's it for now.

Nice pics jesse.... and well yeah i gave you those green center ones but they original from DJ i got them when i did my first swap on NT.... and well you have a frag and J&D have one too.... talking about zoas the ones i just gave you how are they doing??? any pic of it.... ohh yeah were is my pic of the shroom?? :evil: :lol:....

The first pic in the series is a FTS right? Do you want a shot of EVERYTHING from the ground to the canopy?

The xenias walk their way up the glass leaving little trails of xenia "frags" in their wake. they started out on the sand bed and began their ascent from there. It makes it really easy for me to give away to people... just scrape it off the glass!

I left a bunch of room for growth... lol! Actually I have plenty of room for a few more frags and still allow for proper growth space.

I took a few shots of the mushroom, but none of them really came out well. Ill try again today. The frag is doing great and actually I will try to post a pic today of those too.

Im off to do a water change and then I will snap a couple more pics...

So I am planning on gluing down all my frags this week, but before I do so I wanted to dip everything as a precautionary thing. So I was able to borrow Eddy's Lugol's from him and I followed MuchoReef's freshwater Iodine dip. Everything went well... didnt find anything bad, and all colonies opened nice and wide about an hour after returning them to the tank.

I also picked up a little something today...



It has at least 50 polyps... around 30 or so of the orange-red polyps and at least 20 green polyps. Very nice piece and for a very nice price... $15. Gotta love So. Cal. LFS prices!! It's my first real colony... something more than just a frag!

Hey Ed... they have another one that has more green than red and is a tad smaller... you want it?
