I just saw pirate's reef DIY phos reatcor and thought it was a cool idea. I might just build one of those or re-arrange my LR for better flow.

I have fed it flakes, tiny pieces of shrimp, mysis shrimp/cyclopeeze combo... what is the best thing to feed plates?

Everything was a little deflated or retracted because I had only my actinics on until Mike and his wife got to my house.

Well, tried to get a decent pic of the shrooms... this is about as good as I can do for some reason...

And a couple updates.

I picked up an old cabinet that someone had out by their trash. It is made of solid plywood... the sides are 1/2" and the back is 1" plywood.... yes you heard me. It was a b**** to drill the back panel. I picked it up with the intention of using it as storage etc. for my tank. Well, I finally got around to doing just that. I mounted my two powerstrips on the inside to hide them rather than have them showing on either side of my system... it was rather unsightly! Way better now. I also got a container that fits perfect in the bottom section that will serve as my ATO resivoir. It holds just under 6 gallons. I still have plenty of room in there for all of my additives and most of my supplies too. Lastly, it provides a wonderful "workbench"!

I went to the fishstore today to look for some carbon... that's it!! Just CARBON!!! Yeah right.

Came home with these...

Only about half of the polyps were opened when I took this pic. I also got a free paly polyp that *may* be an RPE or PPE... gotta wait for it to open and color up.

I think I have a new favorite clam pic... i know, another clam pic. Deal with it!

That's it for now!

Nice Zoo's Jesse. The clams looks grrreat! What are those white boxes on your power strip? Timers? I notice that new additions get placed in a clear container just like that first pics you have of the shroom. What it's purpose?

The shrooms were not attached to much so they were just floating around the tank. The bottle cap just helps to keep them in place until the attach to a larger piece of rock. I have the loose paly polyp in a similar container until it attaches itself.

The white boxes are my timers. I have them noted with an "A" and "D" for "actinics" and "daylights".

Thanks for the comments guys!
