Anemone Pico Reef 2.5

Well I think I have decided what to do with the 2.5 tank that I set up last week..... :kid:

I am going to make it an amemone species tank...... I know call me crazy!!!

Here is the tank set up. It's a 2.5 AGA, with a 2.5 AGA sump. The lighting is a DIY oak hood with 2, 13watt pc lamps.

Should be okay for a small anenome that doesn't need a crazy amount of light.

The sump will have a combo of live rock and macro algae.

The big rock of mini carpet anemones will become the center piece....





Here is a shot of two flower anemones and a hitchicker, Pink Tip Haitian Anemone, that came in on some live rock.....

I am going to give them a couple of days and then add the rock...

Yeah.....that will be a wait and see. I know the flower anemones don't need much, but I will have to see on the mini carpets.

I have plenty of lighting laying around if it's a problem, but I really like the oak hood, so I am hoping that I can get away with the 26watts, that close to them.

These are the 3 flower anemones that I got on ebay a couple of weeks ago, from a seller named old.diver. He has great stuff and is a real nice guy. I am sooooo in love with the pink one!!! I am really hoping it does well.

At first I was thinking of a couple of flower anenomes with a anenome shrimp for motion. I forgot about the carpets you bought.

Really nice... cant wait until you can post a pic of all the anemones together.... anyways im loving the pink anemone too :shock: :shock: look at that figure uuuuu :razz: :oops: nice tipps.....

Have you given any thought to an anenome crab or shrimp for some movement? Just curious.

Wow, that pink is awesome! I got a few of Kens Green Flowers, but will have to check back with him on the pink now! Very very nice!

Trouble is, he won't sell them on his site.......only ebay, because the bring soooooo much more. :anxious

wow nice looking shrimp i have seen does but with purple and pink and then the body clear just like that one and the crab same as the one i mentioned....

the shrimp is like this but instead of white is pink with some purple

look at this page more anemone shrimp but you can see them on video some look like ghost not color at all... crystal clear.... :lol:

Well made the big move tonight and moved the anemone rock over into the 2.5 gallon pico.....

Had to stop and take out water, it took up so much room.... :sweat:

I have ordered new bulbs for the lamp and Think this is going to work out well.....

I hope!!!



Here is a pic of the pink flower....seems to be setteling in!!!
