DJ and Drty811,

I promise I will send out a small frag to both of you; do you guys each have a small piece of rubble to attach it to via a rubber band or glue?

When I went down to Anaheim and gave Dragon a branch, we glued it to a small piece of rubble and it took off.

Dragon can you give us a snap shot of how big it's gotten?

Dragon,

Your tank is beautiful I love getting a chance to see it every couple months. Guys and gals, that red macro algae was not even close to that size when I gave it to him. And he has told me before that he has prunned it many times already.

Like I told you I will send you both healthy branches to your homes to see if it takes off for you guys.

I will try to get it done this weekend, so I'll be PM both of you soon. I'm just putting together my new calcium reactor and phosphate reactor.

I took the pictures already but haven't had time to post. I'm running the Deltec line which is top notch.

Well,

Looks like I've been having some fun with my two knew little toys. I adopted two new kids to my oceanic filtration family; the Deltec PF 509 Calcium reactor and the Deltec FR 509 Phosphate reactor.

I started by finding some small bricks from Home Depot that would elevate my two kids high enough that they could stare at there big father the AP 600 Deltec Skimmer on the other side.

I took several pictures in sequence to show my progress. The Phosphate reactor is fully connected via a Maxi-jet 900 pump and my Calcium reactor is awaiting a special nano CO2 container that I ordered so I can incorporate it into the cabinet.

I have no more space in here and feel I have really taken advantage of prime real estate. Since I come from a nano background; my last two tanks were the JBJ cubes, my building skills were really tested on this project.

I hope all you guys enjoy my pics; a special thanks goes out to Doug at reefcentral for guiding me through the plumbing and my buddies at nanotank for their recommendations on the correct CO2 container to use on this project.

Okay guys,

I'll make a note to get the full shot of the filtration system. My nano CO2 containers come in next week; they are the ones with on/off valves.

I also ordered my SMS 122 Ph/controller by Milwaukee. That should run perfect with my MA 957 Regulator which is also by Milwaukee.

My aqualifter pump came in today with the filter and the bubble liquid made of gylcerin.

The calcium reactor is just waiting for all parts to come in so it may be launched. Untill then it's at the launching pad just waiting for perfect skys for lift off. Mike Guerrero at mission control is not ready just yet... hehehehe

Well,

Here are a series of pics with my calcium reactor. I had to wait for many pieces to arrive since the LFS didn't have what I wanted. Instead of a 5 lbs C02 container I went with two 20 oz containers from a company in Ohio. I also ordered the aqualifter for delivery of sump water to reactor and back to sump.

I also got the filter to go with the aqualifter to protect the delicate pump flaps; also ordered the check valve filter for the reactor insuring I never get anything clocked in the reactor intake.

In order to control my regulator I purchased a PH controller; which shuts off my C02 when it reaches 7.8 PH.

I also had to order more effluent tubbing and some C02 tubbing; I was using the stealth tubbing put its very thin compared to the proper tubbing.

I will place 10 pictures on this post and another 10 on the next; enjoy and please feel inclined to comment.

Some reefers have been asking me why I went with such a small C02 container and how did I get it to inject C02 into the regulator.

Since I came back to the reefing world as a nano cube owner I wanted to keep the small concept in the cabinet.

I wanted to take advantage of all my precious realty that I had in my cabinet. If you have been following my thread you will see that all filtration is in that cabinet except the chiller.

Chiller needs to ventilate well and so I purchased one that has a nice appeal to any room, the JBJ line.

I puchased the two containers from a paintball website in Ohio. They sold me the containers that have a control valve on the neck of the bottle.

I have taken three pics so reefers can see how I got it to work. The first set I purchased were pin activated and didn't work.

Since I am working on fighting algae in my reef, I know I cannot win the battle from just the outside; the phosphate reactor cannot do it alone.

So I went and purchased, one small yellow tang, one small hawaii algae blenny, 10 margarita snails, 5 astral snails, and 3 emerald crabs.

I hope to see some results from this team, I will call them the algae busters...

I searched for a mini sea hair but they were out...

Does anyone else know if I missed any others for my elite team of algae busters?
