    water flow

I would say yes, water flow is important and it depends on what you decide to keep in the tank. Check the latest issue on this http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2006/8/aafeature

Don't think it's aiptasia, but a better macro shot would be helpful.

    12 Gallon Nanocube DX

Doesn't look like you have enough coral to take down that much calcium over a small period of time. There are other things that affect the trace elements in the water column, like Magnesium. I would do a water change to replenish, you trace elements. Start with a 20% water changes test...

    New oceanic biocube setup questions....

Might consider adding macro in the tank itself. I do that and it works well. Carbon is simple and free in your case...or use chemipure or purigen. Welcome back.

    Mag Drive Pumps???

Doh!! I wasn't thinking about your original question when I put it out there. Was just being narrow and thinking heat. I had the same dilema, either get an Ampmaster (which can suck the water out and generates less heat) or drill the sump. Because I too don't have cabinet space, I...

what kinda chemical media do you use?

That is what I do to regenerate it, but in addition to that ,I test for chlorine. I know some folks discard the product instead of regenerating it.

what kinda chemical media do you use?

Thanks. Was only asking because since I started using PhosGard, I noticed that my prolifera started to look transparent and flimsy.

what kinda chemical media do you use?

Thanks. I was wondering though, I also grow macro algae in my tank, will purigen and chemipure take away too many nutrients for the tank to sustain plant life? -rd Plants like Chaeto rely on phosphates, Iodine, and light. You should have no problem growing macros while running these...

what kinda chemical media do you use?

Does anyone use purigen? I've been using it and it seems to work well. Was going to move over to ChemiPure.
