    a green star polyp that has grown waaaaaay to much, it has spread over some of the sand and another rock. I know I should take some of it to the LFS but this is something I've never done before and have no idea how to "cut it--brake it". Thanks for the help!!

    I found this snail (or looked like one) standing on the edge of his "tail" expelling what looked like rotifers out of his mouth... I'm including a pic, it's the best I could do, he is above the zoos, you can see the antennas... thanks to all

    reefman23, I have a 12gal deluxe nano with the original pump it came with (105 gph), I placed the polyps on the sand bed on the opposite side of the outflow and it seems to be happy, there's a lot of H2O movement on that side. I have a maxi-jet 1200 I used for awhile but my clown was strugling...

I do not have any livestock in it yet, I'm trying out the chiller with just plain freshwater to see how it works (it works for both fresh and saltwater).     I hooked a CL-85 chiller into my 12 gal. nano. It's been a little over 1/2 an hour and it hasn't cool 1 stinking degree... how long does it take for it to work? The temp. is 88 degree and the chiller is set up to 78 degree. The pump I'm using is a QuietOne 1200, it runs at 296gph...

    salt problems ??

    The water is a little cloudy with some small clumps of salt at the bottom, looks like sand. sg is 1.20 (measured with refractometer) so I added another 1/2 cup and waiting to dissolve. There's nothing else other than salt and H2O in the tank. I don't remember this happening with my 55 gal...
