Hosting Hey. My clown hosts in my blue tipped Xenia. The BTX isn't too thrilled about it. It also tries to host in the Pulsing Xenia but that one isn't having it at all. It closes.

Thanks for the info Jennie. It doesn't do it every day. It does it once a week and it's a small piece that just comes off when I take it off with the tweezers. I have this :D yellow leather coral that's been in my tank for about 2 weeks. it's doing fine :smile: except sometimes the edges get really black and die off :o . Is it dying? :cry: I thought I read somewhere that they shed a lot of dead skin. Is this what they meant? :?:

the gunk in my tank... It's red, it's a film covering the rocks, it's black when it's in the sand. I just turkey baste it or pull it out with tweezers.

:cry: I keep gettin' this film I don't know what to call it. It could be algae, but I don't know. I'm new to this. The sand sticks to it, and when I try to suck it up, its too heavy for the vaccum. It's really annoying. Anybody has any suggestions. Any advice is most appreciated. :roll:
