    I have a new tank!

cool, then it must be the nitrates in there. Just wait until it balances out then. You'll be fine. Right now in my 6 gallon, my parameters are fine, but my featherduster worm hasn't adjusted to the transition from the Melody tank to the jbj 6 gallon. It came out a few times the day before...

    I have a new tank!

question how long has it been running since the picture you showed on the top? Is your rock still curing? Or did you buy cycled/cured rock from an established tank? Water looked cloudy up there, and not sure if you put in corals too quickly. Might be a reason for your coral not coming out...

B may be quite possibly right. In my case I had a problem with Sandra's mushroom, they started looking all small and shriveled, and had no clue why, I would offer better areas for light, and then had same results. After posting about it, B told me to try a shady area, so I put it on the side...

    new with questions

that's an awesome shot B! I can't wait until they mature to adults. I wonder how long before they get that color? As juvi's I bet they dont care for much, but when they turn adult it may up the chances. I'll keep my eye out for things like that. I need to be picky and offer them options.

    new with questions

Here's a question for B. If a 6 gallon tank like mine is dedicated to just RBTA with upped power to 48 watts (theoretically) Would it do well with it's new lighting and feeding it properly? Would it fail? Last question...have you seen a Ocellaris Variant Black Clown host one or a different...

    new with questions

I guess it's whatever float their boat, their world, hehe. I've seen RBTA in display tanks of the 24 gallon and 12 gallon. They were huuuge pieces though, so I guess it would keep them from moving around and just stay in one place. No other corals were in there, and there were just like 4...

    92 watt Larnie Edition...

lol, nice algae blooms on the sand. Thats' so ugly mike, you need to get some serious nassirius snails, assorted sizes, smalls, mediums, and large. I did that and the sand bed is always nice and white. That or those cool sand sifting gobys are neat. They swallow down that stuff and it...

    new pic of my 60

Mike you have a condo, he has an apartment, lol. It's like right at the entrance and it takes up a wall. You most certainly can do it, if you wanted to. Since you like to go "big" i know you will transition to a bigger tank some day, and it may even be that condo :) Adrian: That's an...

Pico transitioned to JBJ 6 gallon...a new beginning

The 6 gallon tank is not a deluxe model ( I dont think they are out yet ) This one has a built in ballast if you can see from my pictures when it's open. With that in the way, I dont think you could fit anything in there. No problem though, for now, 18 watts (1 10,000K ) is doing just fine...

Pico transitioned to JBJ 6 gallon...a new beginning

Yep, my title is not that deceiving, it's true. I have taken down my pico 1.5 Melody series from Redsea, and transferred over everything into my newest investement....my nanocube 6 gallon. I know a lot that know me on here would ask why I would take my pico down, but the reason mostly was the...

Seems like you have quite a few questions huh? To save you time, you could have put it in one thread as opposed to several. As for 1 percula in a 5.5 is fine. I have two black Ocellaris Variants in a 6 gallon I just setup today :) I'll have pics so maybe it'll help you gain an idea and...

    Moonlight strong enough?

shows no picture, but it's hard to say how bright is bright, but I'm sure if you got enough of them and placed them just right, you'd get the glow you are looking for. PS as far as the main people of this site who respond, they usually more active during the week and take breaks on the...
