what about some plastic mesh that you use to keep junk out of rain gutters? Thats what i use to keep my fish going for a trip to Raging Waters. Then you would have less detritus build-up and possibly less nitrates than a sponge. Jesse

I have to say that the hydrometer pictured is 2.5 years old, it was properly calibrated before it was used, it was cleaned out with vinegar once in a while to remove any buildup, AND I always took several reading and they would all be within 0.001 or 0.002 of eachother. I still have to say...

I just have to let you know that 300 watts of light is relative. On a 20-30 gallon tank, that would be considered high-light. On a 110 gallon tank, that is low light... even low-light corals would need to be placed at the top of the tank. A 110g is like 24" tall... even 150 watt MH would...
