Okay, it's time for fish!! How 'bout this?

3 won't work. if they are small, 2 will probably pair off and the third will be tormented if not killed.

    # of Fish

that's already too much IMO. lots of people say 1" per 5 gal. i say you can push that number around a little. wait...you have 3 gobies in a 12 gal! is there no aggression there? usually gobies don't like to be with other gobies. but if you are making it work now, i wouldn't add anything else to...

    2.5g pico Hood and Stand

no i was just wondering. you probably have plenty of light in there with the three bulbs. usually reflectors are just there to get all the available light from the bulb to the tank. i'd go with a bunch of supercolor zoanthids. a tank that small will really look nice with a lot of color. my 5 is...

    my new 5.5

i've heard it called red grape caluerpa and red kelp. it's a slow grower, although i don't have much fuel for it (nitrates-3, phosphate-undetectable). but yeah i like it. i did have a piece that was at least 1.5 feet tall and about 1 foot across but i put that in my FOWLR and my trigger made a...

    Underwater Music

i actually saw a story on the news the other day about a winery in turkey or something like that. and the guy who owns it has been playing classical music to one half of the fields and not to the other. the difference in the grapes was amazing! on the side that got music, the grapes were bigger...

    my new 5.5

well here's everything in it. i picked up a few extras along the way and am looking to get a few more things. mainly just some supercolor zoa's and a green clown goby. i found a blue coral banded shrimp that was only about 1/4", some zoa rocks for cheap, a green finger leather, and a candy coral...

    Need some help IDing please...

i'd leave it be. the shrimp may be a pistol shrimp of some kind. i'd need a better pic of it to be sure. the first looks like a bristle worm.

    Lowering SG and Salinity...

don't change the SG more than .002 per week. i'm not really sure how much this applies to salt water but that is the rule with brackish. slowly change it. especially when fish and inverts are living in the tank. the bacteria and inverts could die from the sudden change and then you've got a problem.

I need your opinion on this TRU VU 6g

i'd just get a glass tank and build an overflow filter like that. it'd be much cheaper.

live sand vs. live rock? and more...

i wouldn't spend the extra cash on live sand. your live rock will "seed" the sand over time. i don't forsee a problem with your choice. what is the sand made of? and yes many people do take the sponges out of the filter and use LR rubble. better filtration

    nanocube lighting

you might just need to have 2 seperate switches for the lights. that'd be easier than wiring them together. i'd go with the 48watts. it'll give you more options later on. you'll be kicking yourself when you find that perfect coral and can't add it due to insufficient lighting.

    pipefish

yeah try cyclo-peez. my LFS has two bluestriped that i'm thinking of buying. that's what they are eating. every once in a while they will go for frozen mysis.
