I doubt the cyano is a flow problem, i have an AC200 on a 5.5g and it has plenty of flow, i tend to go with DJs opinion, its a new tank with alot of excess nutrients fueling the outbreak, get nitrates and phoshates under control and it should burn itself out meantime just keep removing as much...

i really like the astera snails but their one downside is if they get turned over they usally can't flip theirself back over so you occasionaly have to rescue one

i should probably add that i only dose my 29g tank i feel that my 5.5g gets everything it needs from 1g weekly water changes

I use kalk, kent liquid calcium and kent iodine, but before you dose anything you should be sure to test first. oh yeah i occasionally have to add magnesium and baking soda. as to how much that depends on how low your levels are to start with

incysors right, if its an electronic ballast it will fire almost any bulb of the same wattage but if its a magnetic ballast thats a different story because some bulbs have an internal ignitor and some require a seperate ingnitor, thats the difference between European bulbs and American bulbs...

The one from petsolutions is temp. adjustable but its kinda of a pain to set because it has a rubber seal over the adjustment knob
