That helps alot. The cleaner shrimp i had in my 20 gallon just died after around 10 months, so i'm lookin to add a new one. I was just gonna purchase another cleaner, but the anenome shrimp is amazing looking. i think i'll ad one to my 20, and to the 12 gallon Nano when it's set up and cycled...
About that shrimp, i was wondering if it had to have a symbiotic relationship with an anemone to be happy. Really want one, but i don't want to add an anemone to my 20 gallon at this point. When i get the 12 gallon Deluxe set up, i plan on keeping a Bubble Tip, so i guess i could purchase the...
Mike,
I'm thinking about purchasing the Deluxe as my second tank(already have a 20 gallon), and was wondering if you made any modifications besides the lighting change i read in a previous post of yours. I'm thinkin about just keeping softies, so i'm to sure i'd need to upgrade. Also, what kind...
I'm lookin to start a second tank, and since i already have a 20 gallon, i was thinkin something smaller. I noticed a couple of posts on the 12 gallon and was hoping to get some personnal feedback from owners, or anyone who knows a little about them. I found one for $120 with 48 watt lighting...
Over the last few months i've noticed some extra detritus forming in the middle to upper levels of my sand bed. im lookin for an invert or possibly even a fish, that can help me mix up the sand a bit. not sure if i want a horseshoe crab b/c of the fact that you really never see em'.
Any...
I just purchased a Flavivertex Pseudo to add with the cleaner shrimp in my ten gallon tank on Friday, shortly after the pseudo was acclimated and put in, the shrimp went went and hid under an overhang of live rock. Hasn't come out since. Was wondering if anybody has had personnal experience with...
I'm transfering to the Galveston campus in the Spring. Had to get some base classes out of the way, but by the end of the semester i'll be ready to go.
djconn, Phischy, what'd ya'll major in???? i'm working towards Biology/Marine Biology, looking to become a diver for Exxon, or Chevron, studying rigs, reefs, etc..... that are surrounding possible drilling sites. Just curious........
yeah, i've come to realize that the prices at Aquarium World are pretty expensive, but i've kinda gotten comfortable with it. i've never purchased an unhealthy fish/coral, and i really enjoy talking to the staff, so i guess i'm willing to pay the extra for the service/friendliness. i may try a...
i am a faithful customer to Aquarium World on the Northwest Freeway when i'm in from College Station. Was wondering what any other Houstonians thought about it. The fish always seem happy/healthy and they have a diverse selection of corals and inverts.
djconn : where were your seats? are you an alumni? i agree, it was definitely freezing, but well worth it!!! I was feelin the cold more than anyone, me and my friends decided to go shirtless with the aTm logo painted on our chest. I was frozen by the second quarter.
AGGIES #1!!!!
Great!! Thanks alot, I'll keep all that in my mind while I try to make my decision. i've got plenty of live rock, so that won't be a problem, and water parameters are all in check, so I'll probaly end up purchasing the organge. Thanks Again!!!!
Alright, so I'm thinkin about adding a starfish to the 20g tank, done some research, and I think I've come to find that the best option for a reef tank is the Orang Linkia Star.
Was wondering if anybody had heard anything about them, or if anyone has one. Suggestions???
Is it becoming a problem?? I'm leaning heavily towards a six line, but i've also got a purple fish(sick right now, see my previous post if you can help)
a percula clown, and a cleaner shrimp. Do you think the six line will cause problems???
