    2.5 rescaped (5-7-06)

I am glad you were able to ID him but no matter what he is a neat little fish. Live a long and happy life Mr. Wiggles!! It is so neat to be able to bring questions directly to the experts, I doubt you could do that as easy as it is for us in most other hobbies.

Setting up a small Nano Tank

I use a full unit in both my 12 and 6 gallon nanocubes with no problems. The only reason I can see that you wouldn't be able to use a full unit would be if you had alot of stuff in the rear of your nanocube. I run one sponge, the Chemipure and a small piece of Polyfilter in my first chamber.

    15 tall (new pics)

I think the rockwork actually collapsed on top of him so there wouldn't be anything the shrimp could have done, of course this is speculation on my part.

    skunk clowns

Most LFS are willing to get something like that in if you ask them to, they aren't really going out of their way or anything to add them to their regular order.

need help with DIY over flow box

You could probably get by just fine with a 3/4" drain but I would use a 1", this way if you put your arm in the tank to do maintenance or something it will not overflow. A 1/2" return is plenty for the set-up you describe.

    Led lighting??

I have mine on one of the Coralife timers so they are on opposite my regular lights but if I had a different timer I would just run them 24/7.

Setting up a small Nano Tank

You should always rinse any media you put in the tank to rid it of any dust or fine particles that may be on it. If you read the jar you are supposed to rinse the full units of ChemiPure too.

I love the gobie/pistol pair. I had one and the gobie committed suicide by excessive digging and he buried himself. I bought a replacement pair of gobies to go with my pistol, they are coming in this week. You have some nice looking corals in that tank, keep up the good work.

    Where has everyone gone ??

Thats more like a lodge than a house. Definitely enough to keep you busy. Maybe some of the others made new years resolutions that are keeping them tied up.

Setting up a small Nano Tank

You can open the bag and put some in a filter bag (available from your LFS) or use one of your wifes old nylons and put as much chemipure in as you need. There is also a half unit available but it seems like it is harder to find.

Food / Feeding Technique - Clown

You may need to turned your pumps off if you have that much current, just turn them off for 10 minutes or so when feeding. As far as what to feed, mine eat both flake and frozen food.

    Aiptasia Anemone

I have never heard of red legs eating them either. I have heard of nudibranchs (berghia), copper banded butterfly fish, and foxfaces (I think). I have used kalk and Joes Juice to get rid of them with good success. I would also not hesitate to use the hot water method but would be hesitant to...

    Kalk Additive / Goniopora

Victor, Its up to you when night is for your tank, you basically want to dose after the lights have gone off. Dosing has no real bearing on the actual time of day as long as you keep natural lighting to a minimum.

    Hello from Newby with questions...

Go with the 12 gallon, you can buy it with 2 24 watt lights in the DX model. Plus you have more water for some stability and room for more corals with only a small increase in cost.

That is one of the main reasons I like this board, you don't have to take a beating because you don't follow the rest of the crowd. Plus due to its size it has more of a family feel here.

    Hello from Newby with questions...

You need to decide on what kinds of coral you want to keep first and then see if the lighting in a nanocube is sufficient. The 24s are the main ones that had cracking issues but that is supposed to be corrected with the '06 models (the '06 models have a tag on the back with a serial number and...
