    My new cube build!!!!

3 x 8 watts isn't much. I'm not sure you can house any light demanding corals. I've not seen this tank up close so I won't be much help, but if there is any Bio media you may want to throw it out. By the way... :welcome to Nanotank!!!

    rays and eels

Red and white shrimp is probably the scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp. Not needed, but cool to get your hand cleaned by.

    Beginner Corals

Well you seem to be doing great! Stick to corals that are not high light demanding and honestly just add them in! (Ask to see if your LFS dips their corals to get rid of pests)

Inexpensive 20Gal tank...Am I on the right track?

A refugium is intended to give a safe "refuge" for pods and other microfauna to grow. Added water volume is useful but the ACs don't have THAT much water. Adding in a macro algae "can" help reduce nuisance algae in the display tank. Look in the DIY section for a how to.

any tips for switching to a new tank...

If the distance from one tank to the other isn't too far then I would use the same tank water ONLY because of all the parameters and then acclimation wouldn't be harsh on the fish. NOT because of the water being "cycled" (water doesn't contain any significant amount of the bacteria that...

    New Reef Nano

The anemone is the key to your lighting needs then. Other wise you have quite a few options. I like T5 (but make sure there are individual reflectors). Power compact does ok, but nothing spectacular. Filtration for reefs should be live rock and sand. Bio balls and other filtration simply...

    Pump Silencer

Take it apart to check if something is stuck near the impeller causing the noise. If it is clear and the vibration is the cause then a silicon matt can help reduce the noise. Most maxi jets are nigh impossible to hear (I think).

    Need advice for T5 lighting

+1 I have 6 x 54 watt bulbs and I can keep most everything in my 90 galon. The 4 x 24 should do you quite well.

Encouraging Ocellaris Clownfish pair to host an anenome

Just please be careful with those anemones. I've not had one, but to my understanding if a larger one gets a hold of you, you may have to run hot tap water over it to get it to let go.

    36 W Compact Fluorenscent 50/50

I do a 12 hour light schedule. 8 am - actinics on (moonlights off) 9 am - actinics and daylights on 7 pm - daylights off, actinics still on 8 pm - actinics off and daylights off (moonlights on)

    Need advice for beginner...

LOL yeah sorry. The links do have some larger lights. I used those to show the better (from what I can research) styles of lights. Any T5 lighting (with individual reflectors, this is a must) will do very nicely. Is there a price range you have? That may help me narrow down a suggestion or...

    clowns

Well a clown goby (not a true clown per say) is pretty darn small. I'm not sure of the sizes but the false ocellaris clowns are a more peaceful bunch. I would say any LPS should do fine. I personally love frogspawn, hammer coral, and bubble coral. They all have great movement and are nice to...
