I've thought about this long and hard and can't come to a conclusion. I've got my fans setup different in a few of my tanks and can't make a decision. Which direction do you want your light/hood fans blowing to? Do you want air blowing into the hood thus bringing in cooler air or blowing...

Yeah, everything is looking pretty good after about 5 days now. The xenia is pulsing and standing upright. I also fragged some gsp and they are coming out now too. I might try some zoanthids next. We'll see.

Wow. Thanks for the update. Things are looking really good. I love the zoanthids especially the orange-center/green skirt ones. So has your girlfriend been helping/observing all this with you? Is this to eventually become her tank or what?

Number 1 and 2 I can't ID. #1 is really interesting though. Maybe an egg sac of some kind? #3 is a mini feather duster. I have about 15 of them in my 20 gallon. Most are white and red. What size tank do you have? More pics?

After much debate, I decided to use my 2.5 as a fraggin tank for the time being. Got some xenia and gsp growing right now.

I decided to start fragging some xenia and green star polyps in my 2.5 and finally put it to good use. Below is what I did this weekend. I cut the GSP out of my 20 gallon and cut off a 3 little pieces of xenia out of my 5.5. A long time ago I heard about using needle and thread to mount xenia...

Just doesn't get any better than this

Yeah, I think seahorses are pretty hard to keep but people have been successful. I'm now leaning to a xenia and/or frag tank.

Yes, occasionally I use Arm & Hammer to raise the alkalinity in my tank. This is my little formula I use with my 20 gallon: add 1 teaspoon baking soda to raise Alk by 1 meq/l for every 10-15 gallons. Remember, this is just a formula that works for me. Every tank is different so use with...

Hmm...I've been running my 20 gal for almost 2 yrs without a fuge so I don't really see a need for it now. Maybe a seahorse tank? :huh:

I would do a 4" dsb just b/c I always seem to vacuum a little bit up by mistake everytime I do a water change, etc. Do you have an extra small tank? It would be pretty easy to convert a small 10 gallon into a small fuge under the tank if you have room. Toss in some caluerpa, a small light...
