Alkalinity is the one thing I constantly battle. I can never seem to get it just right. Most people constantly battle with their calcium levels. I battle my Alk. It just seems to dissipate so fast!

Any update with this Firefish? I've never heard of this so it sounds interesting...

I'm glad you got ahold of a salifert rep and I was happy to hear what you had to say. I still believe that they are one of the best test kits around. Mike, what is the reps name and ph# (if you don't mind) just for reference in case someone else needs it?

I'm not sure how they reproduce either although I don't think they split like mushrooms, etc. Phischy, try putting a decent sized piece of scallop on top of your brain for him to eat. It will swell up like crazy.

Yeah, I run the Red Sea Prism on my 20 gallon. Not the best skimmer by any means but it gets the job done.

I went by yesterday (Sunday) and the sign on his door said closed and noone was around. I also went to Global and John said that Kenny was official closed. :(

Does it look like this? If so, I think its a type of wafer algae and it can grow out of control. I've got some in my tank but I just pull it out with tweezers when I see it.
