    Please wait for a month.... Yes you can do a water change but please don't rush anything and wait for a full cycle. Keep lights on only for viewing purposes, don't want algae growth. So far so good! :mrgreen:

    Jesse, I can always increase the water depth by 2 inches. If that doesn't help, I can always reduce the sand bed too.

    I just got my halide system, 250 watt with 14K bulb. Tank specs: shallow Frag tank Depth: Sand bed 4 inches deep and water level 5-6 inches!!!! How far do you think the pendant should be from the water itself? Right now I have the pendant 19.5 inches away from the waters surface.
