    Mike yes I will do a before and after shot I wont be getting the lights for a couple of weeks tho , as I will have my sister inlaw get them for me in ohio if I cant find them locally ..... :-) our lfs here suck big time they carry alot for fresh and ponds , cats and dogs , and some bird stuff...

    where is the oily surface at in the filter or in the tank? If it is in the tank the power head would be in the tank if it is in the filter try changing your filter cartrige out to see if that helps some . I wouldnt add a power head to the filter just my .02 .

    As I said before some minor shadowing will occur but not alot the glass top will also raise your temp and possibly give you problems down the road with ph and 02 exchange. At first I thought that the egg crate looked tacky but alas I got use to it and now it doesnt look bad at all matter of fact...

    yes that is what I am aming for the bluer 3/4 acitinic look , and this wont harm my residents correct . perhaps the death penalty just kidding we are due to replace them in january so I will try that to see if it is ok we are talking a 7 gallon tank so I would think that the par should be ok...

    yes the super glue gel we have is the ethyl cyanoacrylate but unsure of the epoxies full ingredients but I will call them in the morning for their MSDS sheet ... thanks for the answer , I am still very green behind the ears and some times come across as being thick and not understanding ...

    That wont be long he has a very clean full tank I am in aww at how pretty it is , must be something to come home to , relaxing and peacfull , something to look at at the table I can see all the worldly stresses just melting away :-)

    ok then the lfs will order the 50/50 and the acitinic for me . I tend to like the bluer look . Mine only has 1 switch so I am unable to do the dusk till dawn thanks dragon

    thanks mike I will see about ordering some if I cant get that epoxy from walmart (loctite brand) is safe to use and place back in the tank for curing the ingredents are epoxy resin polymercaptan and amine curing agents this stuff would be placed on the plugs and rock and back to the tank with in...

I have pc lighting and would like to add a bulb that is 50/50 to the current acitinic light , any one have experience with this combo , I kinda like the bluer look . Will it be bad for the zoas and the shrooms , candy cane , and fish . The lights are 36 watts...

    I have some plugs with zoas on them that are lr so I wanted the extra strength and have some loctite epoxy that I was curious if it was safe thanks for the reply Mike :-)

    Has anyone used regular loctite 3 minute epoxy in fastening coral frags insted of superglue gel .... I got some small frags on plugs that I want to epoxy down . Pros cons any drawbacks thanks

    Yep that is exactly what you do all mine came in "6" polyps , they are very honest if they cant meet your quota and will give you some other polyps to make up for it . mine are just "frags" I hope to have pictures of them soon . When my new tank gets here I will get them placed a little better...
