    Got my tank and stand!

I don't have much to offer other than what you have taken all the precautions I would have, maybe a direct feeding enriched with selcon and or vitachem? (fatty acids and vitamins) Great looking setup!

do i need a protien skimmer?

I agree with Davenia. Anemones are not very well suited to new tanks. Nanos present the problem that if the anemone ever moves it will more than likely kill everything it touches. If you do choose to get an anemone read up on where it likes to be and get a much better light. Waiting 6 months...

    fishies

Pretty much the same info I came across. Clowns *can* get aggressive during feeding. But the ones mentioned above are about the calmest I know of.

    light question

I use the 3.1 LED system and it's great for growing macro algae. I think you will be pleased with those.

    The place where you live

Nice! I am currently in a small town outside of Chicago! Pingree Grove, it's claim to fame is the writer "Laura Ingles Wilder" (Little house on the Prarie - the book not the show) lived there. Not born...just lived.

    Finally put my tank together...

Once the tank matures that little bit of algae on the glass will go down quite a bit (gone all together in a mature stable tank).

    T8 lighting?

I would find an individual reflector to help maximize the light.

    lights for refugium

Nanotuners.com or nanocustoms.com has a unit that comes with velcro to stick on the back of tanks that have clear backs. All I had to do with my nanotank 12 is to peel away the black vinyl a bit. I have the 3.1 light (it's fully assembled) and I like it. but the 2.1 would work well too...

    JBJ 28G HQI

LOL I also added in a chiller (mini artica, bought the non digital (dang word filter) version - they sent me the digital one) and also added a reef keeper 2. I have the actinic upgrade from nanocustoms.com but haven't installed it yet. I don't like my rock work on top as it is just a bunch of...

Well here some photos! I didn't clean the walls of the tank so the photos aren't all that great. Some photos have been modified to make up for my lack of camera skill. The colors are close, but not exact. My mantis shrimp hates the flash and hides whenever it...

D-D JBJ 28 gal Nano Cube - Toothadash

Nice additions. From what I can tell those are the black and white ocellaris clowns. As the get older they will get darker and darker if I am right.

    blasto swollen...?

I am not sure about which is more common. I have noticed my hammer splits more than it buds and my frogspawn is equal in splitting and budding. Candy cane I've only seen splitting, but it is just a 2 head to 5 head split.

My 10G Hexagon LED powered reef

Or... you can find a submersible LED light for the chaeto. Pond lights seem to have done well. Check our lighting forum I believe someone found a light that works well. :cool1:

    JBJ Nanocube DX

I just bought a rock and he was inside of it. He ate a couple of my fish... (firefish). So he now lives in the 12 gallon as the sole inhabitant. (well there are some snails and hermits, but they are clean up/food crew) It's a marvelous pet and he watches ME! I try to catch him on video...

LOL! I'm glad things aren't all bad! Welcome back and take some family time. Then let us know how things are! :cool1:

    T8 lighting?

Geoff has some great advice! I'm just here to put the sign in! :welcome to Nanotank.com!

    blasto swollen...?

LOL! I have seen my LPS use both ways to reproduce. Splitting and budding. Kinda cool!

    nitrates

Fish yes. Corals....I wouldn't. I try to keep nitrates at 0. Have a LFS check your water to see if both tests come up the same.

My 10G Hexagon LED powered reef

Keep them eating. Feed smaller amounts more frequently to help. There are ICH treatments galore out there so a quick search will get you more than enough to read. Good luck! I seem to have too many hobbies too: AV, gaming (yes I'm 30 and play xbox 360), computers, climbing (but no...
