Semo, What they are talking about is putting a drilled Wave tank on top of his main tanks canopy and then plumbing it into the main tank so it kinda acts like a sump for the Wave.

Since the tank isn't set up you could also fill it up and add bleach to clean it, when you empty it use a large dose of dechlorinator to get rid of the bleach and let it completely dry in the sun.

They are used to dry the air going into the ozone generator where moisture can cause problems.

If it was used with copper and is a real steal of a deal I may not pass it up but I would use it for other than a reef.

As long as if either has or you can fit it with an intake screen of some kind it will work with the provision it is labeled as saltwater safe.

You may be able to determine if it was sed salt or freshwater by the equipment it comes with. A protein skimmer is a sure indicator of salt use as one example. Sadie is right with the pumps, you may want to look into replacing them but I would give them a good cleaning and inspection first...

Nevermind about the diagram, I see now what you are talking about. I also think it will work out great as long as the heat from the lights doesn't overheat the small tank. I realize it will have water from the main system flowing through it but if it is to slow you could have heat issues.

I am always glad to hear stories like this that are with a company I like to deal with. They will definitely still get alot of my on-line business.
