7gmb new pictures (updated pic 4-30-06)

Looks very nice. I would love to have seen the seahorse chastising the clown for eating his food, if you could have got that on film you would be rich.

    my 10 gal nano

I would go ahead and get into the habit of weekly water changes now. Remember to add livestock slowly allowing your tank to stabilize between additions.

HOB Filters - Remove Bio Filtration?

You want to remove the bio part because it converts waste into ammonia to nitrite to nitrate so quickly you don't have a chance for anything to be consumed before its converted to nitrate, this causes high nitrate levels. With the slightly slower process in using LR for filtration snails...

~*~ HeLp Me Out PLz! ~*~

A piece of filter cartridge may help introduce some bacteria but I don't think it will speed your cycle up because the bacterias have to multiply to sufficient numbers. I am not sure what you mean by it helping algae to grow faster, what kind of algae are you talking about growing?

Me again - AquaPod vs Nano Cube?

My opinion is some of the problem comes from the tanks not being set up properly on a solid level surface, I think the ones that crack after being set up for some time may have to do with initial set-up. I have no real preference for an Aquapod over a Nanocube, I have 2 cubes (a 6 and a 12 DX)...

    Switching freshwater to saltwater...

You may be able to use the gravel depending on what it is, sometimes crushed coral or dolomite is used in cichlid tanks to make the water as hard as possible and if thats the case you can use it for saltwater. I would consider this for a fish only tank though and follow Jesses post if you plan...

    Magazines....

The only mag I know of that is all saltwater is Coral ( www.coralmagazine.com ) but it is a bi-monthly publication. I also like FAMA (Freshwater and Marine Aquarium) but as the title sggests it also deals with the freshwater aspect of the hobby too. Another mag I like that deals with both is...

They are used to support the LR so if it gets tunneled under the rockwork won't fall.

~*~ HeLp Me Out PLz! ~*~

Weekly water changes are all that is needed in a nano, the surface skimmer is a great addition to keep a film from forming on your water. You made the right choice.
