The coral is a green star polyp it should open it is just adjusting to the new tank perameters (sometimes this can take a few weeks) :mrgreen:

we are running on ours a 50/50 bulb and an actinic , for a bluer look and everything seems to be doing ok with that configuration :mrgreen:

If you bleach use a dechlorinator and a bucket of water to soak it in over night . As most of our critters are sensitive to bleach and chlorines Then just air dry . Just my opinion :mrgreen:

you can give them a good swish in old tank water , if they are really crummy I wash them in tap water and and rinse and soak in old tank water for a half hour . :mrgreen:

Nice hitchhiker you lucky duck . Our stores blast the stuff so you get pthhh(makes rasberry sound ) free . That stuff you are dosing r00on is that for the 10 gallon that you are dosing ? Just curious I may end up looking to dose to get my stuff to grow.....a bit quicker :mrgreen:

We use spare filters and power head for circulation aswell as a spare heater , the tank is a spare plastic storage box from walmart we just do a water change if need be to set it up. In other words if it needs set up we fill it from the display tank and place in the fish bare bottom and also...

Amf you maybe able to get away with one small fish but that would be ok for a 10 gallon . Give the tank a little more time to mature a bit and you may be alright . Just my .02 sorry for your loss of Blue

Some times we just cant figure out what ticked them off. Mine decrowned and it grew a new one . I would say that perhaps it may have been irritated buy a parasite or even a bristle worm ....tho I am not to sure on that . These guys can be finniky here is a link where it was discussed...
