Reefers,
Jennie has been kind enough to offer me some marco so I'm trying to figure out which kind I want from her. It will be going in the back of my nanocube chamber with some rubble. There really isn't much light back there (I might add a fuge light one day) so the species needs to be not...
Yeah, the gravel/bowl method works really good. I once tried to put some fine mest over a shroom then rubberbanded it down to a piece of rock. It didn't work out so good for me.
Good info. Glad I wasn't one of the nine that got shocked. I got shocked really bad a few months ago when I somehow grounded out my hottub by standing on wet grass. That had me skipping...
I had the same heat issues as well but put a small walmart fan right near my canopy and its really been helping. My nanocube temps haven't gotten higher than 82 since I did it. I also plan on upgrading the canopy fans but this is working in the meantime. Best of luck.
Welcome to...
In my experience with waving hand anthellia, it would constantly break off 'arms' or small pieces to reproduce elsewhere in my tank. It was kind of like xenia in that all it wanted to do was take over the world. Looks to me like that is what yours is doing.
I came close to going to the IMAC last year but got really busy so I couldn't attend. I probably will go to the MACNA this year since its in Houston. Anyone else going?
Everything looks good! Great pics by the way. The sizing is perfect. You've really added alot in just over a month. I'd say slow down a little and just wait things out before moving new stuff in. You already have quite a high bioload with three fish. I like how you added the extra...
I would also like to add that its probably better to feed a slightly less amount than too much. Thats a good way to really screw up your water parameters. You'll get it down soon.
Welcome to Nanotank roadartist. It was nice meeting you at fin-addict the other day. That place was pretty busy. I need to get over there more often. Felipe is really a cool guy. We look forward to seeing your progress!
I forgot to say that I'm just assuming that this was the same stuff I had in my tank so don't panic just yet. Like sadielynn stated, its sooo hard to tell without pics.
That fuzzy stuff is bad news I'm sorry to say. I don't know what exactly what the stuff is but I've seen it wipe out entire zoanthid colonies before. Its some kind of bacterial infection that speads quickly in zoos. It killed a whole bach of mine (on the same rock) before. Best thing to do...
